Illegal trading has emerged as one of the most formidable challenges in central India's Madhya Pradesh on August 3. The incident took place in Mauganj in the Rewa district.

Visuals feature the officials recovering a bulky consignment of marijuana from the container lorry in broad daylight. Following this, they stack all the sacks and packets in the room and keep a check on the illicit items while disclosing the matter to keep the locals aware.

Rewa Inspector General, Umesh Joga, tracked down the lorry and seized 952 kg (2098 lbs) of cannabis worth Rs. 1.42 crore (USD 1,91,490) inside snacks packets in a major crackdown. The truck moved from Andhra Pradesh to Rewa but got confiscated while four smugglers were arrested from the spot. Moreover, the miscreants used to bring consignments of marijuana to Rewa through Chhattisgarh but it had police security, following which they chose the route through Nagpur but failed as it was secured too.
