A vehicle with a robotic arm inside helped conduct COVID-19 for residents in central China.

The video, filmed in the city of Wuhan in Hubei Province on August 5, shows a robotic arm inside a COVID-19 test vehicle getting samples from a 36-year-old woman named Wu.

It was the first COVID-19 test vehicle in Hubei province, which used a robotic arm instead of a paramedic to get samples from residents.

The result which normally needs seven or eight hours to get can be given in just 45 minutes by the COVID-19 test vehicles.

The vehicle has a fully automated, portable and integrated COVID-19 test system that can finish collecting samples, testing and reporting in one go.

The vehicle can test 600 residents per day and move to different locations at any time.

5日上午，这辆车在东湖路社区亮相，这也是全省首台移动核酸检测车正式启用。36岁的吴女士成为第一个尝试机械取样的人。刚听说一会为她操作的是机械臂时，她的表情里带着惊讶，也带着点疑惑。在机械采样窗口前，她含住一次性检测嘴，金属色的小门打开了，一只机械臂伸了出来，将咽拭子精准地伸入吴女士口中，旋转取样。约半分钟后，这枚咽拭子就进入了车载检测仪。45分钟后，吴女士收到了自己的核酸检测结果。
“跟人工采集的感受相比，机械臂很温柔。”吴女士说，采集过程比人工的略长一点，但是没有那种明显的不适感，“整体感受蛮好的。”
据武汉大学中南医院检验科主任李一荣介绍，这辆移动核酸检测车的全称是“新冠检测移动实验室”，它拥有全自动、便携式一体化新冠病毒核酸检测系统，可将采集、检测、上报一次性完成。目前每天可以承担600人次的检测量，更重要的是，它可根据需要，随时奔赴社区、乡镇，完成采集检测，一个人也好，一组人也好，都可做到随来随检，快速出具检测报告。它的机动性和高效率，能在疫情防控工作中起到重要作用。（视频由湖北台提供）
