A thief became stuck inside the same ATM he attempted to break into in Namakkal, Tamil Nadu.

Police investigated after hearing a voice saying "help me" coming from inside one of the ATMs. They found the thief trapped behind the device.

The officers then asked what the man was doing inside the ATM and the thief explained he intended to steal the money.

A case has been filmed against the thief.

Thief who came to steal money from the ATM sought police help to escape out in South India.

India Number One ATM centre is at Aaniyapuram area of Namakkal district of Tamilnadu.. As its an industrial area all the ATM S here will be filled with lots of money. Knowing this a North Indian worker who came to work in the nearby business house came to steal the money. Unfortunately he got struck into the machine while breaking open the socket where the money was filled. Police of this area were patrolling at night and they heard a feeble voice from the ATM. The voice said “Help me… Help me.”

On hearing the SOS call, police rushed to the ATM to see what happened. To their surprise they saw a man inside the ATM machine. On their enquiry they asked “What are you doing here?” He simply said I came to take money. Then the police asked , “idiot what are you doing inside the machine, If you need to withdraw money”. He again said “I came to take money” Then the police understood what he exactly meant.

He then on investigation agreed that he wanted to become rich overnight and hence he chose to steal money. Case has been filed against him.
