Art student moulds body like clay in "Manipulated"

An interesting video has emerged of a stop motion self portrait video designed to give the illusion of a body being moulded like clay.

Art student Kelsey Higley, who studies at The University of Oklahoma, US, combined around 126 digitally reconstructed photos of herself in an attempt to explore the notion of ‘true beauty’.

The filmer explained: “This looped animation illustrates the effects media and public opinions have on the way we look at ourselves. I have chosen to use myself in this short to show my own inner conflict with beauty as I battle with the desire to look like someone else and the acceptance of my natural beauty.”

The video has been viewed more than a million times online since being uploaded late last year.
