Firefighters rescued motorists trapped in cars that were submerged in deep floodwater in southern China.

The heroic video, filmed in the city of Shenzhen in Guangdong Province on August 8, shows 12 vehicles trapped in deep floodwater.

Firefighters were trying to rescue motorists trapped in the vehicles.

Thirteen people were evacuated from the flooded vehicles and no casualties were reported.

The city issued a yellow warning signal (the third strongest level) for the rainstorm at 14:35 on August 8 and it upgraded to an orange warning signal (the second strongest level) at 15:10.

8月8日14时35分，深圳市龙华区发布暴雨黄色预警，15时10分升级暴雨橙色预警。15时24分许，深圳消防接到报警称：龙华区民治街道福龙路简上村至人民路路段严重积水有人员被困 。
接报后，消防部门调集大浪、北站，龙华等消防救援站共13车76人赶赴现场处置。现场共有12辆汽车泡水。多部门救援人员联合转移13名被困人员至安全地带。没有人员伤亡。
据了解，截至17时30分，涉事路段的南往北路段积水已消退，截至19时10分，北往南路段积水已消退，恢复通车。（视频由广州台提供）
