Local residents were shocked to find a 10-foot crocodile inside a home in central India on August 8.

The giant reptile had wandered into the dwelling in Shivpuri in the state of Madhya Pradesh during torrential rains.

According to locals, they informed the forest department but officers failed to come to their aid for hours.

Eventually, the angry reptile was removed from the home and released in a nearby wild area.

Visuals feature the giant reptile lying in a corner. While the crocodile enjoys its time in the puddle of water with its mouth wide open, panic ensues among the residents. However, the curious onlookers gather at a safe distance while the vicious croc shifts and slithers in its position.

The continuous rainfall in the region has thrown life into disarray. The crocodile strayed towards the residential area and took abode inside a house as the water level rose. Moreover, the panic-stricken locals did not receive any prompt assistance from the forest department as well.
