A farmer builts his own treehouse after failing to obtain housing rights through a local scheme in Mohad, Madhya Pradesh.

Footage from August 7 shows the man climbing in and out of his makeshift shelter made from wood and plastic.

The farmer will return to his home only when the government assists him.

A farmer constructs his house on a tree to raise his voice against the government's unfairness in central India's Madhya Pradesh on August 7. The incident took place in Mohad village of Narsinghpur district.
