A wild bison was rescued from an 18m (60 feet) deep well in South India on Sunday 8 August, despite heavy rains.

The rescue happened in Manapparai area of Trichy district in Tamilnadu.

When the rescue team arrived they found the animal was extremely ferocious and so called a vet to give it two doses of anesthetic. Despite this the animal was still ferocious.

Later, two rescue staff went down into the well.

Heavy rains were hindering their rescue operations but, after four hours, the bison was finally rescued and taken to the wild.

A wild Bison fell in 60 feet deep well in Manapparai area of Trichy district in Tamilnadu.

Owner of the garden notices the same and informs the rescue team. They immediately rushed to the spot and found the wild Bison very ferocious and it need to given anesthesia. Then the vet doctor was called and two doses of anesthesia was given to the wild Bison.

But the bison didn't respond to anesthesia and it was still ferocious. Later two rescue staffs went down in the well. Heavy rains also were hindering their rescue operations. Irrespective of that the wild Bison was rescued and left in the wild. The rescue operation took four long hours.
