Trio online game addicts boys were caught on security cameras stealing charity money in a place of worship in Indonesia. One was caught red-handed by security, another was arrested when he was busy playing online games in the internet cafe, the other escaped.

CCTV footage installed in a place of worship in Agam district, shows the theft occurred on Thursday (5 August), trio teens entering a place of worship when it was quiet around the location.

Two perpetrators took a charity box at the entrance, then easily damaged the plastic box to take money in it.

Another took a charity box on the ground floor. Two of his friends approached to say they had finished and would leave soon.

Security officer saw the CCTV monitor and found a thief who was in action, then quickly caught him.

Based on information from the arrested perpetrators, the places of worship administrator and residents arrested other perpetrators while he was playing online games at an internet cafe.

Duo of thieves was reported to the police, while one was a fugitive.

The Head of the Women and Children Protection Unit (PPA), Bukittinggi resort police, Adjunct Second Inspector Amelia Candra, said the police arrested the perpetrators initial D (16) and R (13), as well as evidence of 2 boxes of charity and 250,000 IDR in cash (less than 13 GBP).

"They confess stealing money to buy online game vouchers and pocket money," said policewoman Amelia.

The law threatens the thief with a prison sentence of more than 5 years, or is returned to his parents according to the law on the juvenile criminal justice system as the perpetrator is still a minor.
