A woman has caught the hilarious moment her beautician lost a false nail in her nostril during a nose wax gone wrong.

Brittany Shackleton, 26, from Sydney, Australia, was having her eyebrows waxed by one of her friends and made the split-second decision to have the tips of her nostrils waxed as well.

By chance, she started recording the treatment for her Instagram followers – but ended up catching something far funnier than a simple wax job.

In the video, the beautician attempts to remove the wax, but immediately faces trouble when the stick used to pull the wax out breaks free.

But as the waxer goes in for a second attempt to yank the strip of wax out her nostril, her false nail gets caught in the sticky wax, pulling it clean off.

Both girls dissolve into fits of giggles, as the beautician goes to remove her nail from Brittany’s nostril.

“I was filming for content on my Instagram as a joke, and I was very surprised her nail came off! I thought it was so hilarious though I knew she would fix it,” Brittany said.

“At first I didn’t realise what it was then when I saw it was her nail I was dying of laughter. I couldn’t believe I caught something like that on camera.

“She was also laughing, but she kept apologising as she didn’t think it was professional of her, but I didn’t mind as she is one of my good friends.

“I posted my video on TikTok not expecting it to go that viral but I’m happy I could make people laugh and got to enjoy a little moment in my life.

The hilarious video has now racked up more than 23 million likes and has been viewed almost 166 million times.

Brittany added she is “overwhelmed” by how many people have seen the video.

Viewers have gone absolutely wild for the clip, with one man commenting: “She absolutely nailed it”, while another said the wax attempt “took everything but the hair”.

The progression of things going wrong is what have really endeared others to the clip with one person saying: “When you think it can’t get worse but it gets worse."
