A photographer filmed a stunning timelapse of the Perseid meteor shower as it passed over Conthey, Switerzland.

Footage recorded from August 11 and into the early hours of August 12 shows several meteors soaring across the sky.

The shower occurs every year in August and gets its name from the comet Perseus.

Many stars with very clear skies, even the milky way is visible.
many airplanes and satellites criss-cross the sky and occasionnally a bright greenish Perseid meteor is caught and zoomed onto for better view.
