Tough new COVID19 restrictions are being implemented for the Bayside, Strathfield and Burwood local government areas in Sydney, Australia.

Travel for residents will be restricted to essential healthcare and emergency services workers.

Residents in these LGAs must only obtain food or other goods and services, and exercise, within 5km of their home.

The businesses are being dealt a big blow as they have been closed for about 4 weeks, and some even had to vacate as they were not able to pay rents.

People are being urged to come out in numbers for COVID tests and get vaccinated as soon as possible.

The state of New South Wales in Australia currently has 5,572 active cases of COVID19 and has had 91 deaths till date.

The lockdown is likely to be extended further than August 30th, 2021.
