A Denver man reached out to women on the internet for help when he couldn't work out what a cup shaped item belonging to his girlfriend was for.

Video shows Daniel Duche wondering what the object is for, guessing that it might be for makeup or "a portable shot glass".

In fact, it was a menstrual cup, used by women during their period for collecting menstrual fluid, as an alternative to pads or tampons.

Daniel told us: "I found this in my girlfriend's things and I had no clue what it was so I asked the ladies of the internet for help. A period device was the last thing on my mind. I thought it was a makeup thingy."

Daniel filmed himself wondering out loud about it on July 16, 2021. It has already raced past 30 million TikTok views.
