Sad sight of sloth bear drinking cola from trash pile on India's Mount Abu
A visitor captured the sad scene of a sloth bear in India drinking cola from an unfinished bottle on a rubbish heap, on 11 August.
The footage was filmed at a dumping yard at the Mount Abu wildlife sanctuary in Rajasthan.
The filmer said: "It was a very much sad situation. As i am a professional naturalist, it was very surprising for me to witness such a sad moment. It could be harmful for this bear in many ways."
"Every year the deforestation is harming the habitats of wild animals so they are coming into contact with humans more easily. This situation is creating man-animal conflicts every year in this area. Every year there has been sloth bear attacks," he added.
