A roughly 6-foot (2m)-long snake caused panic when it was spotted near a tea shop in central India on Thursday August 12.

The incident took place in Kachari road of Sagar district in Madhya Pradesh.

After the creature was spotted at the tea stall, it hid under a neighbouring breakfast stall before snake expert Aqeel Baba arrived to catch it.

Video shows him using a stick to get it out of its hiding place, before catching it and placing it in a bag, as it writhed vigorously.

Following this, the snake expert, identified as Aqeel Baba, strikes the stick under the bench to disturb it and then catches the snake from inside. Baba then holds the snake's head as he opens a bag and gently places the snake inside while it wiggles.

Furthermore, the snake first appeared beneath the counter of a tea shop, then moved next to the breakfast shop. The shopkeepers contacted snake specialist Aqeel Baba, who arrived on the scene and rescued the snake, providing residents with a remarkable sight.
