HMS Vigilant hands rescued migrants to a smaller boat in Dover harbour, UK
British naval ship, HMS Vigilant, handed migrants rescued from the English Channel, to a smaller boat that would bring them to shore, on Sunday 15 August.
The handover from the larger ship to the semi-inflatable 'rib' boat, was conducted in Dover Harbour.
The Vigilant, which has been at sea since 1am, earlier met a French warship in the middle of the English Channel, to take on the migrants, who were earlier rescued by the French ship.
The UK has seen an increasing number of migrants trying to reach the country illegally by crossing the English Channel, which the government has promised to crack down on.
