Protesters outside the Indian embassy in London are calling India's 75th independence anniversary on Sunday (15 August) a 'black day'.

Sikhs demanding an independent state ('Khalistan') in Indian and Pakistani Punjab, joined Kashmiris demanding independence and left-wing supporters of farmers opposing proposed Indian government agricultural reforms, to hold a protest outside the High Commission.

Protesters called the Indian government "fascist" and decried atrocities in Kashmir, the 1984 Sikh Golden Temple massacre, and the deaths of protesting farmers, and what they called the silence of the UN and G7.
