Japan: Torrential Rain Lashes Many Parts Of Country, Causing Deadly Mudslides, Flooding
Heavy rain has caused severe flooding and mudslides across western and eastern Japan.
A mother and two children died after a mudslide hit a house in Okaya city. Nagano. Also, a woman was killed by a mudslide in Nagasaki while a man is missing in Kumamoto after being swept by a river.
Many parts of the regions, mainly on the Pacific side, have been hit by torrential rain since last Wednesday due to a stationary front, which is expected to stay parked near the country until Friday.
