Jakarta has so far successfully carried out vaccination against the covid-19 virus. However, for various activities in public places, such as visiting tourist places, using public transport and even entering a shopping center, every citizen must present a certificate of vaccination. Large shopping centers in Jakarta even require visitors to install a special application to enter the shopping center. The Ministry of Communications and Information uses the app to find out the number of visitors to shopping centers, airports and other public places who are definitely vaccinated.

However, since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, restrictions for the sake of "semi-blocking" have made shopping centers the worst business sector. Residents of Jakarta have finally got used to not going to large shopping centers, because there are many mini-markets or new shops around the house that provide all kinds of needs, are more practical, close and without strict rules. In addition, long before the pandemic, shopping habits also changed from offline shopping to online shopping.
