The Three Valley Lake fire near Revelstoke, BC threatens the Three Valley Gap Hotel, resort and historic Ghost Town. The flames were getting close but were settled due to the heroic efforts of the BC Fire Service and many front line workers fighting the many fires around British Columbia during a record setting fire season.
Province wide and into other provinces and US states, the smoke is causing health related issues for those who have respiratory and underlying health issues. Thick smoke also impact the ability of firefighters to battle these events from the air.
