A villager in Srik Lanka encountered this magnificent elephant wandering in search of food.

The tusker, identified as Chandi, was strolling amid the woods and probably lost its way into a village.

Rural areas have become a haven for elephants since their natural habitat has considerably shrunk due to human exploitation.

A magnificent elephant strayed itself into the village to find food for itself in Sri Lanka's North Western Province on August 1. The incident took place in Siyabalangamuwa.

Visuals feature the giant tusker strolling amid the woods in broad daylight while the entire area is vacant. The majestic jumbo keeps wandering through the forest cover and drifts away onto the other side of the greenery to grab some food and put an end to its hunger.

The tusker, identified as Chandi, has made these rural areas its haven after the forest covers became smaller due to humans. Besides, due to lack of space in the forests, they have begun to appear out of their natural habitat and look for food in the villages during the night or the morning, making locals familiar with such incidents.
