A man identified as Akeel Baba got bitten by a rat snake while trying to poke the vicious reptile out of a kitchen shelf in central India's Madhya Pradesh on August 19.

However, Baba managed to catch the snake to confine it in a jar. The footage shows a moment of panic among the residents as the rescuer was bleeding from his injury.

Akeel Baba is now out of danger.

During an ongoing rescue operation, the rescuer got bit by an Indian rat snake in central India's Madhya Pradesh on August 19. The incident took place in Makronia in the Sagar district.

Visuals feature the serpent expert attempting to track down the snake slithering inside the shelf of the kitchen. Following this, the man uses a torch and a stick to poke the reptile out of its hiding while it keeps lurking in the corner. As soon as it is pulled out, it bites the rescuer while he instantly grabs the creature and confines it inside a jar. Meanwhile, panic ensues among the residents as blood drips from the hand of the rescuer while he tends to his wounds and clears them to avoid infection.

The rescuer, identified as Akeel Baba, was alerted by Dinesh Tiwari, who resides in Ankur Colony and works in the Electricity Department that his wife discovered the Indian Rat Snake inside the kitchen. Unfortunately, during the rescue, the snake got caught off-guard and bit the serpent expert on his hand, spreading fear among those beholding the disaster. However, the situation was handled, and Akeel Baba was out of danger.
