Multiple protesters and activists were arrested as police shut down Extinction Rebellion protest today (August 23) as they kick off two weeks of climate protests across London to urge the government to stop all new fossil fuel investment immediately.

In the footage, protesters and activists kept blocking the police's route by placing a cordon of chairs around them, while the police kept removing them.

Some were physically removed from the area
while others were arrested. Most for breaching section 14 of the public order act.
