An elephant bowed down in a temple in Sri Lanka's central province on August 21. The incident took place in the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic, located in Kandy.

Visuals feature an elephant emerging on the temple premises with a couple of men. Wearing chains around its neck, the tusker walks with its tail swinging around. Later, after its trainer's command, the pachyderm bows down on the ground, gripping the onlookers with amusement.

The elephants in the region often visit the temple with their trainers to worship before starting their day of work. Moreover, this commonly occurs in the area, making the locals familiar with such incidents.
