A concrete mixer truck fell from an overpass in Guangzhou, southeastern China, sending the driver to hospital.

Footage from August 24 shows the out-of-control vehicle crash down from the raised highway onto a road below.

The vehicle was seriously damaged but fortunately no passersby were hurt in the incident. The driver was sent to hospital with skin injuries to his head and arms.

8月23日，广州一辆搅拌车疑因车速过快失控，从立交桥桥顶掉下。从监控画面中可以看到，水泥搅拌车侧翻从立交桥匝道掉下来，车辆损毁严重，未伤及路人。有路人称车辆重约40吨，被摔成两截。司机头部和手臂有皮外伤，没有生命危险。

8月24日，广州番禺公安发布警方通报：
8月23日11时25分许，一辆混凝土搅拌车在经过广州番禺区机电山庄立交桥南侧回旋位时，车辆从桥面坠落，事故造成驾驶人李某受伤及停放在路边的一辆小客车受损。经查，驾驶员李某排除酒驾嫌疑。目前，涉事驾驶员李某在医院接受治疗，无生命危险，该起事故正在进一步调查中。


On August 23, a mixer truck in Guangzhou fell off the top of an overpass because it was suspected of being out of control due to excessive speed. It can be seen from the monitoring screen that the cement mixer rolled over and fell off the overpass ramp.

The vehicle was seriously damaged and no passers-by were injured. A passerby claimed that the vehicle weighed about 40 tons and was broken into two pieces. The driver had skin injuries to his head and arms, and there was no danger to his life.

At about 11:25 on August 23, a concrete mixer truck fell from the bridge deck when it passed the roundabout on the south side of the mechanical and electrical villa overpass in Panyu District, Guangzhou.

The accident caused the driver Li to be injured and the one parked on the side of the road. The passenger car was damaged. After investigation, the driver Lee ruled out suspicion of drunk driving. At present, the driver Li is receiving treatment in the hospital and is not life-threatening. The accident is under further investigation.
