This cute thornback ray won fans recently when it struggled to eat a fish at an aquarium in France.

In the clip, which was filmed by French zookeeper Aurore Eon in Montpelier, the cheerful-looking creature can't quite get his mouth around a smaller fish.

"Every second, I was like, 'did you get it, fishy?' It teaches us all how we have to put in the effort to feed ourselves," said Eon.

The clip was filmed on August 23 and broke a million views on TikTok in one day.

'If there's one important life lesson offered in this cute video, it's that perseverance is the key to success.

Filmed by French zookeeper, Aurore Eon, this clip features a Thornback Ray going above and beyond (literally) just to munch on the fish right in front of it.

Aurore told us: "Watch this young Thornback Ray moving mountains just to eat his meal. Every second, I was like, 'did you get it, fishy?' It teaches us all how we have to put in the effort to feed ourselves."
