A babysitter managed to move a boy from out of harm's way as a vehicle recklessly skidded through a car park in southern China.

In the CCTV video, filmed in the city of Xiangtan in Hunan Province on August 22, a black SUV knocked down the stone barriers and smashed into three people.

A boy was pulled away by a babysitter, narrowly avoiding being hit by the car.

The car crashed into a man and did not stop until it smashed into a wall inside a garage.

The man suffered injuries to his leg and was sent to hospital.

The motorist was allegedly driving under the influence and has surrendered himself to the police.

8月22日14时许，湖南湘潭湘乡市励志大道凯旋名都小区门前现惊魂一幕：一辆奥迪SUV车撞倒多个石墩后径直冲向一名幼童和一男子，幸亏一旁还抱着一名孩子的保姆眼疾手快，将幼童拉开。车子在撞伤一男子后，司机竟然再次启动，撞损小区车库护栏后冲入地下车库，撞上车库的墙后停下。该车驾驶人涉嫌醉酒驾驶，已主动投案自首。
8月23日，一位目击者告诉记者，驾驶奥迪SUV车的司机是一名男子，疑为凯旋名都小区的业主，被撞的黄衣男子脚部受伤，被担架抬走。男童因被及时拉开，没有受伤。该目击者称，男童当时跟着保姆，保姆手上还抱着一名婴儿。事发后，男童的母亲赶到现场，将他们带走。她听说民警赶到现场后，现场没找到肇事司机，后来司机自己打电话报警投案。
22晚，湘乡警方通报称，事故致1人受伤，无生命危险。驾驶人文某某涉嫌醉酒驾驶，已主动到公安机关投案自首。（视频由湘潭台提供）
