Sadhya is a feast of Kerala origin and of importance to all Malayalis, consisting of a variety of traditional vegetarian dishes usually served on a banana leaf in Kerala as lunch. ... Sadhya is typically served as a traditional dish for Onam, the state festival of Kerala.

It is also celebrated in Tamilnadu where keralites are settled in large numbers. Likewise a Nawfal a hotel owner in Ooty thought to celebrate Onam with lots of dishes with his family and his employees families. Hence he planned for cooking 150 dishes to give a grand feast for his guest.

The cooking process started the previous day night. Then it got completed by 2:00 pm the next day.

150 recepies were served to the guests in a big banana leaves.
