A woman living in Podili Mandal in Andhra Pradesh has found a unique way to express her devotion and love for her late husband. She has built a temple dedicated to him and performs puja in front of his statue every day. Padmavathi, a resident of Nimmavaram Village, appears to be living up to an old Telugu saying, ‘Husband is like a living God for his wife’. The temple is made of marble and has a bust-size statue of her husband, Anki Reddy.

Padmavathi's husband, Anki Reddy, died in a road accident in 2017. Unable to bear the loss, she built a temple in her husband’s memory. She goes to the temple every day and offers prayers to her husband. On special occasions, she even brings in offerings. Every Saturday and Sunday and on full moon days, the wife performs a special puja and serves free food in memory of her late husband.

This grand gesture of everlasting love and devotion has moved the hearts of netizens and made them emotional.
