Eye donation gives a person the priceless boon of being alive even after death, so eye donation is called Mahadan. Dr. Jayant Ahuja, Civil Surgeon of Kaithal district said that this eye donation fortnight is being celebrated by the District Blindness Committee, under this fortnight a person and woman of any religion, colour, caste and nationality can donate their eyes.Ashok Bharti and Pawan Sardana, citizens of Kaithal, said that eye donation is actually a great donation. He said that even after the death of a person, by donating his eyes, he makes a great donation.Ophthalmologist Dr. Kavita Goyal said that Eye Donation Fortnight is celebrated every year in Government Hospital, Kaithal, during which people are made aware about eye donation.
