Emergency services are reportedly still unable to enter the size of a huge factory fire in the UK's Leamington Spa on Friday 27 August, to look for a man who went missing in the blaze.

Police have said the site is still not safe to enter and it may take several days to complete a search.

Drone footage shot on Friday showed the scale of the fire, which happened at a plastics factory on an industrial estate in the leafy market town.

At the time there were reports of several explosions and people vomiting in the street from the effects of the smoke, amid "apocalyptic scenes". Thick plumes of black smoke could also be seen billowing into the sky.

Residents have been warned to keep doors and windows closed while properties within 70 metres of the site were evacuated.

A spokesperson for Warwickshire Fire and Rescue Service tweeted: "Crews are currently in attendance at a fire at an industrial premises at Juno Drive, Leamington Spa.

"Properties in the vicinity are being evacuated. If you live within 70 metres of the site, please keep windows and doors closed.

"We are working closely with Warwickshire Police."
