For the sixth time, a farmer identified as Prakash Majumdar spotted a diamond on land he is renting, in central India's Madhya Pradesh.

The incredible find, of a 6.47-carat gem, happened on August 27 in Jaruapur village, Panna district.

It is reported that the raw diamond will be auctioned and the proceeds would be given to the farmer after the deduction of government royalties and taxes.

Estimate say the diamond is likely to fetch around 41,000 (30 lakh rupees) in an auction.

Mr Majumdar said he will share the proceeds with the four partners he works with in quarrying the mine.
