Since the Taliban took over Afghanistan, banks have largely been shut and there is no money in ATMs in the country.

Unable to withdraw money to buy essential goods, people have resorted to selling personal possessions on the street.

Subtitled footage showed one man selling his own household goods for, he says, 60 Afghanis (about 0.8 US dollars) a day. That enables him to about five loaves of bread he says.

Locals are calling for the international community to increase humanitarian aid, and for the banks to re-open.
