A bison calf was rescued from a 40 feet deep abandoned well in south india

Location: Vedasanthur Dindugal District of Tamilnadu State South India.

A Bison calf that came to plains in search of food fell into an abandoned well. There was no water in the well and the calf was shouting for help.

But none turned to help the calf as it was already dusk and the villagers went to the houses.

Then on the next day a farmer came to his field and he noticed the noise the he peeped into the abandoned well and saw this bison calf.

He then immediately informed the rescue and the forest department staffs. Both rushed to the spot and planned to rescue the bison calf. The rescue operation took 4 hours.

Later the bison calf was airlifted and left in the nearby hills as it was very tired and exhausted it was moving slowly back to the forest.
