Orphaned albino elephant, Khanyisa, takes a nap on her play tire
Khanyisa is an orphaned albino elephant rescued in January 2020 from a poacher’s snare. She came to Hoedspruit Elephant Rehabilitation and Development (HERD) and went through three months of rehabilitation for the horrific wounds caused by the snare.
In this video, filmed a few months after her rescue, Khanyisa is taking a relaxed nap on her tire at the nursery.
