An enterprising florist in Thailand has come up with a novel idea for funeral wreaths made of medical face masks.

Mr Taweepun of Mai Chor Phaka Florists in Chiang Mai says the idea is to give mourners a useful item instead of purely decorative flowers.

The masks can be combined with flowers for a hybrid arrangement if customers prefer.

While the idea might strike some as a bit odd, Mr Taweepun says sales are good.
