This is the amusing moment a cheeky pet cat was caught stealing their neighbour's slippers in Singapore.

CCTV footage shows the moggie passing by a door before casually taking the left pair of footwear in Sengkang.

House owner Aurora Azhar said she had always been confused why their slippers were always gone in the morning whenever they leave it outside the door.

She added: 'My mother was the first to notice these missing slippers. We didn’t expect the culprit to be a cat, but we were all surprised when we saw the CCTV footage.

'She knows that her cat always brings home a pair of slippers, but she doesn't know who the owner is, so she kept one side nearby the lobby hoping someone would see it. So we retrieve it from there.'
