'This stunning timelapse video features the incredibly-talented Simone Riccardo (S.Carving), an Italian woodcarver who has sculpted numerous mesmerizing wood-carvings.

In this clip, the filmer/artist uses lime wood to create a bas-relief of the facade of Folies Bergere, a cabaret music hall situated in Paris, France.

Simone uses a number of non-power tools to turn the said project of his into a reality. The carving is done in such a way that the figures/design elements are quite noticeable as compared to the flat background. In the end, the talented artist covers the finished product with gold.

He told us: "This is a Linden bas-relief representing the facade of the Folies Bergère in Paris. It was originally designed by French architect, Maurice Pico."

Simon added: "I made this wood-carving completely by hand and I did not use any type of electric tools (except for the lamp that illuminated the scene, haha). In the end, I covered the bas-relief with a 24K Gold Leaf."

Name: Simone Riccardo
Location: Bari, Italy'
