The family of an Indian athlete celebrated as he won silver in the high jump at the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games.

Mariyappan Thangavelu achieved silver in the high jump as his family living in Salem, Tamil Nadu, rejoiced as they watched from home.

Mariyappan Thangavelu has participated in the Paralympics competition in Tokyo. He participated in High Jump and he won a silver medal. His family in Tamilnadu was watching the final competition. And the athlete won silver medal in the high jump. The athlete s mom, brothers and family rejoiced. They danced and shared sweets with each other. Crackers were also bursted.
