Runaway yak shot dead by police after injuring 1 person in southern China
A runaway yak was shot dead after injuring one person in southern China.
Video filmed in the city of Leshan in Sichuan Province on August 31 shows a black yak running around a town and police officers trying to shoot it.
According to reports, the yak escaped from a nearby slaughterhouse and injured one pedestrian after hitting them.
The person was sent to hospital for treatment and only suffered minor injuries.
After more than 50 minutes of chasing the animal, police killed the yak.
The video was provided by local media with permission.
