CCTV footage captured the moment a mother and child fell between the platform and a train at Jamalpur railway station in northern India on Saturday 3 September.

Despite falling down the gap as soon as she tried to get off the train, the vehicle did not stop. Fortunately the pair were still beside the track, alive and with only minor injuries, when it passed.

A large crowd of people gathered on the platform to see what had happened to the woman, and was relieved to see she was safe.

The incident happened at around 4:38pm local time.

The said woman was pulled out after the train passed.

Yes, a similar incident happened a day ago on platform number one of model station Jamalpur. In which the life of a woman and a child has been narrowly saved. In fact, on September 3, at around 4.38 pm, when Lokmanya Tilak Express from Jamalpur station opened to go towards Bhagalpur, at the same time a woman took her small child in the dock and got down from the train, but due to loss of balance, she fell between the train and the platform. Entering the empty space in the middle, she went under the train. Although during this time an attempt was made to save the woman by the RPF and GRP staff posted on the platform, but till the tab the woman had gone under the train. Seeing this heart-wrenching incident, the scream echoed at the station. People became apprehensive about the fact that women and children might not have come under the wheels of the train. And the travelers gathered there to see this. But God had something else to accept that in spite of such an incident, nothing happened to the woman and the child. Half the bogie of the train started passing over the woman and the child, only then the RPF police was alerted after hearing the screams and the child was pulled out along with the woman after stopping the train. During this, the female passenger also suffered minor injuries. The injured female passenger is 35-year-old Paro Devi, wife of Bila Mahto, a resident of Hawachandra Tola Suryagarha.
