Panic as Tour of Britain bicycle race nearly held up by train on level crossing in Cornwall
The Tour of Britain bicycle ride started in Cornwall, UK, on Sunday 5 September.
At Quintrell Downs there was a level crossing the bikes had to cross to get over a rail line.
No-one expected the gates to shut one minute before the bikes were due to arrive, but that is exactly what happened.
Seen in the video is the motorcade being held up in front of the bikes, closely followed by the bicycles. Fortunately the level crossing was open again by the time the bikes arrived.
The closing part of the video is of the riders 20 minutes before the finish, at Carluddon, on the outskirts of Bodmin.
