Locals fled as a landslide crashed down a hill, burying a sand mining worker in Agam district, Indonesia.

Footage from September 4 shows dozens of locals attempting to rescue one worker named Ardinal, 49, after the initial landslide.

They were then seen fleeing as a second landslide was triggered.

The 49-year-old was eventually pulled from the sand but died on the way to hospital.

Second landslide that occurred suddenly made residents who were under the cliffs run to save themselves.

That landslide with a large volume made the victims and sand trucks buried even deeper, so that evacuation with hoe was not possible.

The victim was successfully evacuated after the excavator was brought to the location.
