Yet another tragic incident struck and caused widespread destruction in northern India's Himachal Pradesh on September 6. The incident took place at Jeori near Rampur in Shimla.

Visuals feature a major portion of the hill sliding down in broad daylight while debris, trees, and boulders from the mountains keep rolling down the cliff, spreading fear among the civilians. After a while, the rocks and dirt from the hills get accumulated on the road while dust from it engulfs the entire slope, disrupting vehicular movement in the area.

The massive landslide in Himachal Pradesh's Shimla district has blocked the National Highway-5 while there has been no loss of life or property during the disaster. Besides, the district administration has further deployed Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Rampur and a team of police officials to assess the dreadful situation.
