A truck transporting mud flipped over and crushed three cars after trying to avoid a minibus in southeast China.

Video captured in the city of Pingxiang in Jiangxi Province on September 5 shows a truck transporting mud flipping over and crushing cars waiting at traffic lights.

Nearby residents ran to rescue people trapped under the truck.

A motorist was reportedly trapped inside a car buried under the truck.

A crane was used to move the transport truck away and rescuers used shovels to clear the mud around the trapped motorist.

Rescuers then used tools to tear down the car door and expand the space in the cabin to free the motorist.

The motorist was sent to hospital for treatment and he was not in a life-threatening condition.

9月5日，位于萍乡市安源区中环路与萍麻路交叉口发生一起车祸，一渣土车因避让弯道面包车而导致侧翻，连压三辆小轿车。第一辆轿车被压严重，车上只有司机一人，被困无法动弹。另外两辆车被压较轻，车上人员在热心路人救助下，全部脱险，均无大碍。
据了解，当日7时45分，萍乡市消防救援支队接到报警后，迅速调派跃进北路特勤站2车12名指战员赶赴现场展开救援工作。7时57分，跃进北路特勤站救援人员到场后，只见一辆装满泥土的渣土车侧翻压住三辆小轿车，其中两辆车上人员已自行脱困，而另外一辆白色小轿车被渣土车货箱压住已严重变形破损，司机被困在驾驶室内无法动弹。
由于渣土车死死压住白色轿车，且车辆和泥土重达十吨，给救援工作带来极大困难。为尽快将车辆吊起，现场调来了大型吊车，通过吊车将渣土车移开后，以便下阶段展开救援工作。
吊车过程中，为避免吊车起吊时渣土车内泥土掉落对被困者造成二次伤害，指战员利用铁锹等工具将车上泥土一点点铲除，被困者周围的只能用手一点一点将泥土刨松，清理到车外。同时摆放好液压破拆工具，争取救援时间。渣土车移开后，救援人员迅速利用破拆工作对车门进行破拆，同时用扩张工作扩大驾驶室空间。09时28分，被困人员被成功救出，并将其交给120人员送往医院进行救治，经确认获救人员生命体征平稳，无生命危险。
据交警部门初步判定，车祸原因为土渣车避让一辆转弯的面包车而导致侧翻，具体原因还有待进一步核查。（视频由江西台提供）
