US bride flies over 600 miles to dance with 94-year-old grandad who couldn't be there on her wedding day
A young bride flew 800 miles with her wedding dress to enjoy an emotional 'first dance' with her 94-year-old grandfather who was too poorly to make it to her big day.
Natalie Browning, 24, was heartbroken when Nelson couldn't make the trip from Florida for Virginia after suffering a stroke two weeks before the big day.
He had been looking forward to dancing with his granddaughter on her wedding night for months, but his condition meant he was unable to travel.
Determined to see him, Natalie decided to surprise Nelson by flying across the country with her wedding dress so they could have that special moment together.
She documented her journey, before meeting Nelson who was also fully dressed up for the occasion.
Natalie, a jeweller from Virginia, said: "Getting the wedding dress through the airport was a struggle to say the least, but it was all worth it when I saw his amazing reaction.
"For months he'd been so excited to dance with me on my wedding night and I'm just so happy that I was able to give him that experience."
"I don't get to see him very often so it truly was a special day."
The emotional video was filmed in mid-August.
