Mechanics at a workshop in the Indonesian capital were stunned recently to find a wild deer had entered the business.

Footage captured in Kramat Jai in East Jakarta on Wednesday (September 8) showed chaotic scenes as workers tried to corner the terrified creature as it darted between vehicles undergoing repairs.

Eventually, they managed to catch the deer and subdue it before handing it over to local authorities.

According to local media, the creature is thought to have wandered some 3.5 kilometres from a cemetery in the south of the city.

A deer was seen in a car repair area on Jalan Dewi Sartika, Cawang, Kramat Jati, East Jakarta on Wednesday (7/9/2021) at around 09.30 WIB. The deer even entered the car repair shop.

The deer are known to have escaped from the Kalibata TMP area. The distance from TMP Kalibata to the workshop is about 3.5 kilometers.

The discovery of the loose deer had attracted the attention of residents, motorcyclists, and workshop employees.
