A daily wage worker, Ravi Katpadi, dressed up as a monster to raise funds for underprivileged children's treatment in southern India's Karnataka on August 31. The incident took place in the Udupi district.

Visuals feature Ravi dressed up as a monster. Donning a meticulously designed costume and detailed makeup, he walks on the street, raising funds for poverty-stricken children. Moreover, he assumes a character and stands on display in public while his other team members go around collecting funds from the spectators.

Ravi Katpadi, a daily wage worker from Udupi, dresses up as a monster annually on the occasion of Janmashtami. He raises funds for underprivileged kids' treatment and has been doing so for the past seven years. Moreover, he has collected up to Rs 72 lakh (USD 97,814.81) in six years and has helped 33 children so far.

This year, he dressed up as a monster character from a Hollywood movie, the proceedings of which would go for the medical treatment of at least six ailing children. Furthermore, Ravi takes up this task every year and aims to change the lives of several more underprivileged kids.
