Snake owner removes king cobra's eye caps left from incomplete shedding
A snake owner in Bentonville, Arizona, filmed as they removed their king cobra's eye caps that were left over from an incomplete shedding.
The filmer's pet snake was the victim of incomplete shedding, which caused it to retain its eye caps - the protective layer of skin over the reptile's eyes.
"Our new Malaysian king cobra had an unsuccessful shed that led to the retained eye caps and this video was created as a moment to educate the world about snakes," Summer Craig, the filmer, explained.
"My entire goal is to help people understand these misunderstood animals better."
This footage was filmed on August 25 and has racked up over 6 million views.
