Storm Conson, locally named Jolina, made multiple landfalls as it barreled across the Visayas and Luzon regions of the Philippines on Wednesday, September 8.

Conson intensified on September 6 to typhoon status. It brought heavy rains and winds to many provinces from Samar in the east to the western part of Luzon island causing major flooding. Metropolitan Manila was under storm signal 2 on September 8.

Conson gradually weakened to tropical storm status as it exits the country on Thursday, September 9.
